TED is a global platform devoted to spreading powerful ideas in the fields of Technology, Entertainment, and Design — and beyond. TED speakers have included world-changing leaders, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who have helped shape how we think, create, and live.

​TEDx is a program of locally organized events licensed by TED. These events follow the TED format while being curated and delivered by independent teams in cities around the world. The “x” in TEDx stands for independently organized, meaning each event is uniquely shaped by the community it serves.
