Chris Hoquis

Entrepreneur / University Instructor

Chris Hoquis is an entrepreneur, educator, and product builder based in Winnipeg, Canada. With over 20 years of experience across technology, marketing, and product development, he has spent his career building things while helping others learn how to navigate complexity, pressure, and change. He teaches at the university level, where his work with students grounds much of his thinking about ambition, identity, and the emotional realities of modern work. Chris is the founder of Rally the Locals, a platform dedicated to amplifying local stories and small businesses, and the co-founder of Hostly, a social experience app designed to help people connect with more intention.

Behind the work, Chris has lived the reality of high functioning burnout. He knows what it means to keep showing up, producing, teaching, and building while quietly disconnecting from himself. Through speaking and writing, he explores the space between performance and presence, and what it takes to come back to yourself in a world that rewards output over honesty.
